As the Meteorology Bureau pointed out, the first two weeks of 2013 have contained not only the hottest day in Australian history, but the hottest two-day stretch in Australian history, the hottest three-day stretch... all the way up to the hottest two-week stretch.
Thankfully, we've been spared the worst of it here at the House Of Sticks -- we're on a hilltop, and near a river, and we're not really in bushfire territory. We got the cool change tonight, and overall we've had it a lot cooler than places farther west or south.
