Well... I was hoping for an opener like the first episode of season two of "Angel", where suddenly they hit the ground running and re-establish all the characters as suddenly being competent and a team and effectual before we even see the credits. I didn't quite get that (not least because of a painfully obvious sub-Beast speech spelling out their characters)... but that's because their aim was to get us to that point by the [i]end[/i] of the episode.

Overall? Not bad. I still feel like I'm watching it because of the Who connection more than because it feels like a show made just for me... but there's a good deal there to admire. I've got hope for where they go from here...
